OUR LIBRARY

Our Parish Library, which is located on the upper level of the Parish Hall, is open for several hours each Sunday: from the end of the English Liturgy and until the conclusion of the meal and Sunday School following the Slavonic Liturgy.  Although a reorganization of the Library is still under way, books are available for self-service checkout.  To check out a book, you must record your first name, last name, email address, as well as the date, in the library log book.  Books may be checked out for one month at a time.  All books on Orthodoxy, and other books on religion, are shelved in the aisle closest to the entrance to the library.  If you need assistance, please see subdeacon Victor Klimenko (after the English Liturgy) or Elena Alekseyeva and Irina Connell (after the Slavonic Liturgy).

THE eSCRIP PROGRAM TO BENEFIT OUR CHURCH

eSCRIP is a remarkable new program, in which over 3,000 American businesses participate, for helping churches and other charitable organizations.  It works as follows: Parishioners who have registered for the program go to Safeway or to any other participating merchant, and make their purchases as usual.  At the time of payment, they show their Safeway card or pay via a credit card they have registered on the eSCRIP website.  The store donates a percentage (1 - 2% or more) of the total purchase into our church fund, under number 1034630.  The store gets a tax break, and our church gets a donation.

We invite our parishioners to participate in this program.  Registration is quite simple, taking no more than ten minutes of your time, and will not cost you a penny. All you need to do is to go to the eSCRIP website http://www.escrip.com and provide some information about yourself.   As part of the registration process, you will be asked to provide our parish registration number.  It is 1034630.

If you should have any questions or need help with registration, please contact anyone who knows how to use the Internet. Thank you!
